New
High Quality Reproduction of the German WWII K98 Mauser rifle sling (Karabinerriemen). Made of quality
hand sewn leather with authentic hardware and proper cross hatch embossing. We reworked these all together making new hardware and proper embossing tools for the cross hatch.
These can also be used on G/K43's & MP43/44's.
These measure approximately 49 inches in length.
Options: We
took a small batch and tested out oiling and dying them and we were
very pleased with the results, so we decided to offer these in a few
different options. There is not much of a visual difference between the NEW and OILED options' the oil just makes the crosshatch stand out a little more and slightly darkens the leather.
New: Nothing applied to them just raw leather
Oiled: These come with a coat of neatsfoot oil on them making them more supple.
Dyed & Oiled: These are dyed with a light brown and then oiled to give them more of a aged/used look.
Markings: These are all Waffenamt marked here in our shop, we do our best to get a nice crisp impression but not all come out perfect. However with use these markings just like originals will become difficult to read and most likely completely disappear.
Care: These can be used right out of the box with nothing added to them. Just like any leather equipment it needs to be properly cared for and we recomend giving them a coat of neatsfoot oil. Using a rag rub it into the leather and wipe off the excess.
