"Hell on Wheels" (1940-1946);  played an important role during WWII the invasions of North Africa and Sicily and the liberation of France, Belgium, and theNetherlands and the invasion of Germany.

Armored Forces sleeve patches used by early Armored Divisions & later independent tank battalions.

The borders of our Armoured patches are the correct color for WWII- sage green. (They were never "khaki".)

Usually they were placed 1/2"-1" under the shoulder seam. The current unit was sewn to the left sleeve, while any previous unit might be placed on the right sleeve.

In the early to mid-war period, independent tank battalions used the plain "Armored Force" patch, then started to use the numbered ones by around 1944. Armored division personnel mostly wore their appropriate divisional patch.
