WW2 German Feldgrau Dunkel (Dark Fieldgrey) Spray Paint.  

This custom WWII German Dark Feldgrau spray paint was developed through direct comparison with unissued original examples. By working from these pristine wartime samples, the color captures the true intended tone as it would have appeared when first applied during the period.

Feldgrau was widely used by the Germans during WWII and existed in a notably wide range of shades. To ensure the most faithful reproduction possible we examined original items dated between 1938 and 1944 including helmets, canteens, gas mask canisters, belt buckles, and even tunic buttons. Each piece displayed slight variations in color and sheen showing how much the color truly varied during war time.

For this paint a gas mask canister was chosen as the primary reference - specifically the interior of the lid, which had remained largely untouched and preserved its original dull finish. This provided the most reliable basis for achieving a true period-correct color match.

NOTE: The helmet in the photo is a reproduction we repainted and is not included. It also has a little bit of a texture due to the reproduction helmets not being perfect, the paint itself is not textured at all
