WARNING!
Waterslide decals are extremely delicate and require care. If not applied properly the decal may scratch, rip or tear during application. It is suggested that you do testing before you apply your purchased product.
APPLICATION
· Make sure the surface is as smooth as possible.
· Clean the application surface using a paper towel and a little rubbing alcohol. This will make sure the surface is clean of oil and debris.
· Remove the decal from the packaging gently.
· Cut around the decal leaving just a little of the backing paper visible about ¼ of an inch.
· Wet the back of the decal (paper) using a wet paper towel or spraying it with your water bottle. (DO NOT SOAK THE DECAL IN A BOWL OF WATER)
· In about 15-30 seconds using your finger gently move the decal until it loosens from the paper.
· Apply the Tamiya Mark Fit (Strong) to the application surface where the decal will go. (If it beads up to much then you did not clean the surface well enough)
· Gently slide the decal on to the application surface and gently move it around making sure there is Mark Fit (Strong) on the whole decal.
· Using a damp paper towel start to work the bubbles and any extra Mark Fit out from the back of the decal. This will take a little time and careful work as to not rip the decal. Try not to wipe as you could tear the decal.
· After you work all the bubbles and excess water/Mark Fit you can apply another layer of the Mark Fit over the decal and make sure you get around all the edges even going onto the application surface a little. Do not worry about getting this on the application surface as it dries clear.
· You should let this dry for about 24 hours, you can speed the process up by hitting it with a blow dryer carefully at a distance. (DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN)
