Ernst Rohm Honor daggers were granted to members of the SS/SA who either had interrupted service since December 31st 1931 or those who transferred from the Hitler Youth prior to December 31st 1931. After the Night of the Long Knives, Ernst Röhm was declared a “traitor” and removal of the inscription was mandated making originals fairly rare.
The Steel painted scabbard features the correct domed screws and hanger loops.
The carbon steel blades are nicely polished and feature the SS motto "Meine Ehre Hesit Treue" on the front and the back with ““In herzlicher freundshaft, Ernst Rohm”” that is acid etched into them. These are maker marked with the Carl Eickhorn of Solingen makers mark. The blades are fitted with an ebony wood grip featuring the correct grip eagle and enameled SS Runes button. All of the metal fittings are made of German Silver and will not chip or flake over time, however they will acquire a patina. They can always be repolished to keep their luster.
An absolutely gorgeous reproduction of a very sought after dagger which would make a nice addition to any collection or the perfect side piece for a true reenactors walkout impression.
