Authorized on May 1st 1939 the Social Welfare Medal was to
be presented to Military personal and Civilians to reward outstanding commitment to the field of social welfare. This is the breast badge version.
These badges feature a gilt cross with white enamel and a gilt and black enamlled eagle at the center. The badge is vaulted and can be attached using the wide style pin.
