This is a superb replica of the Silver Panzer Assault badge. Dye-struck with "HA" Maker Mark standing for the firm of Hermann Aurich.
The Tank Combat Badge was established on December 20, 1939 by the Army commander-in-chief. The badge was awarded to officers, NCO's and enlisted men attached to armoured units that that have since January 1, 1940 served as one of the following.
-Tank commander
-Tank drive
-Tank gunner
-Tank radioman
with a minimum of three tank engagements on three different days.
